Firmware Update
Instruction for EFOY 80/150/Pro 2800.

Take advantage of our free firmware updates for the new EFOY 80/150/Pro 2800. All you need for an update is an Internet connection. You can choose between two different update options.

Note: The updater is no longer available for the new EFOY generation.

1. option: Firmware Update
with stationary router.

  • Connect the fuel cell to a router via LAN cable. As soon as there is an Internet connection, it will check whether an update is available for the EFOY. The update will then be stored in the fuel cell and connected accessories, such as the control panel or Bluetooth adapter, will be updated at the same time.

  • The firmware update is installed automatically and starts when the EFOY fuel cell is not in charging mode. The EFOY’s LED will flash blue during the update. The firmware update may take several minutes. At the end of the update, the fuel cell is in standby and the LED flashes green slowly.

Note: Before updating, please deactivate the EFOY fuel cell’s transport mode via the control panel or the EFOY app. The fuel cell must be connected to the battery and there must be an Internet connection.

2nd option: Firmware Update
via mobile 3G/4G router.

  • First power the mobile router and make sure that the router is connected to an available WLAN network and configured. A router recommendation including configuration instructions can be found below.

  • After configuring your mobile router, connect it to the fuel cell via LAN cable.

  • As soon as a connection is established it will be checked if an update is available for your fuel cell. If a new update is available, the update will be stored in the EFOY fuel cell and connected accessories such as the control panel or Bluetooth adapter will be updated.

  • The firmware update is installed automatically and starts when the EFOY fuel cell is not in charging mode. The EFOY fuel cell’s LED will flash blue during the update. The firmware update may take several minutes. At the end of the update, the EFOY fuel cell will be in standby and the LED will flash green slowly.

Note: Before updating, please deactivate the EFOY fuel cell’s transport mode via the control panel or the EFOY app. The fuel cell must be connected to the battery and there must be an Internet connection.

We recommend e.g. the mobile router from TP-Link, which you can purchase here. A configuration guide of the TP-Link router can be found at the following link.
